Rainy Days

I love it when it rains lightly outdoors. Laying in bed, wrapped up in the blanket with a good book (or a laptop), listening to the pitter patter of the raindrops. Ahhh pure bliss.

Today's blog is going to be about the books I am currently reading. "Precious" by Sapphie, and "Lovely Bones". These books are soo gooood! The book "Precious" had me standing on my toes. Everytime I turn the page, I'm rooting for dear Precious. No girl should be going through what she has gone through. This book shows so much about the power of education, love and self respect. A good read indeed. There are some parts that are too graphic for me, but it does play a part in Precious's life and the author does a good job of portraying her life... she made me feel what she feels... good or bad, I felt it.

"Lovely Bones" is a good one too. I'm sure you've seen the commercials on tv. That should say a lot, but the book says so much more. What exactly happens in a family when a child is murdered? This book talks a lot about that. How there's an inbetween when you die. A place where you are not quite in heaven and not quite on earth. Where you can still watch over you loved ones. This book is very bittersweet.
